Using Videos (Saved Videos and Live Streaming)
- In CYZY SPACE, you can place video screens in the space and stream videos for visitors to view.
In general, using videos places a significant load on users' devices (especially when multiple videos are played simultaneously or when using smartphones). Additionally, there are various types of video formats, and playback issues may occur depending on the content. Please conduct as much pre-use testing as possible according to the usage method. In particular, many issues related to video audio playback have been reported with Safari on iOS and iPadOS, so we recommend operating with a single lightweight video for simultaneous playback.
Streaming Saved Videos
The placement of videos is similar to objects such as images,
- Set via URL or file upload from the CYZY SPACE management screen
- Display from URL and pin in the VR space You can configure it using either method.
-
We recommend uploading the video (mp4) file to any public server and using the URL.
-
Files under 10MB can be uploaded to the CYZY SPACE server, but we cannot verify, guarantee, or support simultaneous playback loads.
-
The use of YouTube is not recommended (especially for smartphone viewing) due to control issues on the YouTube side, which are incompatible with the VR core system (Mozilla Hubs) used by this system. Please use other services as much as possible.
-
Vimeo and other video services and streaming services other than YouTube are also not recommended.
-
In the VR space, playback is "synchronized for all viewers." In other words, if someone stops or resumes playback, the video being watched by others will also stop or resume.
Playback is synchronized, but the "volume" of the video is not synchronized. Individual device operations are effective.
Live Streaming
When using a streaming server, you can use the live streaming URL,
- Set the URL from the CYZY SPACE management screen
- Display from URL and pin in the VR space
You can stream to the screen in the VR space using either method.
-
By setting the same live streaming URL screen in multiple rooms, more users can experience it simultaneously.
-
Streaming servers are available as a separate paid option. Please consult with us. (If you use general streaming server services from other companies, we strongly recommend conducting sufficient pre-testing with multiple people using trials, etc.)
-
If you use a paid ZOOM plan, you can stream the ZOOM screen into the VR space by setting up streaming from the ZOOM management screen.
-
Due to device environments and network environments, some people may not be able to do it smoothly. We recommend providing links that can be viewed outside of CYZY SPACE through prior notice or announcements in the VR space.
To stream live to multiple rooms simultaneously, you must use a "streaming server" separately. We can build and provide it as a separate paid option, or you can use commercial streaming servers from other companies.
The use of streaming web services with viewers such as YouTube Live and Vimeo is not recommended. Please use corporate streaming server rental services.
Streaming from ZOOM via a streaming server to CYZY SPACE requires
- Setting up the connection from ZOOM to the streaming server
- Setting up the connection from the streaming server to CYZY SPACE
These two steps.
① For the connection setup from ZOOM to the streaming server, obtain the following from the streaming server provider:
- Stream URL (RTMP format: the receiving URL on the streaming server side)
- Stream key
and follow the ZOOM help below to set up the streaming. (Specifications may vary depending on the streaming server provider, so please contact the provider and ZOOM support for details.)
② For the connection setup from the streaming server to CYZY SPACE, obtain the following from the streaming server provider:
- Live stream page URL (https format: the output URL from the streaming server)
and perform either "Set URL from CYZY SPACE management screen" or "Display from URL and pin in the VR space" as described above.
Again, please conduct as much pre-use testing as possible.
Live Streaming via Screen Sharing
If you cannot use live streaming services, you can perform simple streaming using the "screen sharing feature" of CYZY SPACE.
This method is often used for streaming ZOOM meetings.
-
In the screen sharing feature, to share audio, check the "Share audio" checkbox when selecting the shared screen. However, one of the following conditions is required.
- On Windows PC, share the entire desktop or share the browser tab
- On MAC, share the browser tab
*However, depending on the browser you are using, you may not be able to share audio. Please check in advance.
-
If you want to stream to multiple rooms, you need to enter a "streaming role" avatar in each room and share the screen.
Audio is streamed from the "streaming role" avatar. Place it in the center of the viewers and share it without muting.
Using ZOOM Together (For Seminars, Events, Classes, etc.)
As mentioned above, using ZOOM together can make it even more convenient.
-
Stream and share the ZOOM screen on the screen in the space Simultaneously in one space (one URL): The operation staff uses the "screen sharing feature"
-
Stream the ZOOM screen on the screens in multiple spaces (URLs) Simultaneously in multiple spaces (multiple URLs): Customers using the dedicated server plan can stream live via a streaming server (additional option fee: please contact us) by using a paid ZOOM plan
Advantages of Using ZOOM Together
- Before and after seminars, etc., you can use the metaverse space and avatars for Q&A, chatting, or viewing notices.
- By utilizing the ZOOM screen for the seminar itself, the presenter (such as a teacher) can stream to the metaverse space without special preparation or practice, managed by the seminar or event office.
- For those who do not have a device environment that can use the metaverse space or encounter problems on the day, ZOOM remains as an alternative means.
